Scottish Apprenticeship Week @ BETA
BETA successfully held an open afternoon to promote Modern Apprenitceship in Engineering on the 2nd March 2016. BETA sent invitations out to MSPs, SDS staff, Career advisors, Schools, Local manufacturing companies, and other associations in and around the Scottish Borders. A good number of people invited came along and from their feed back found the information provided valuable and informative.
Attendees were able to view Level 2 VQ folios and Level 3 VQ folios as well as being able to speak to apprentices and Border College staff about the 4 year apprentice training progreamme. A power point presentation explained what engineering is about, Entry Qualification, the jobs that the appprenticeship can lead to, and the qualification the apprentice can gain during thier 4 year apprenitceship.
Mainettin (UK) Ltd had set up a stand at BETA and attendees could speak directly with Mainetti personal about their apprentice programme.
