PUWER 1998 and Abrasive Wheels

 

The course is designed to advise on the precautions which should be taken for the prevention of accidents and correct use of abrasive wheels in the workplace.

The couse will enable companies to meet statory requirements for the safe use and mounting of abrasive wheels which, is in accordance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regualtions 1998 (PUWER 1998)

  • Correct truing and dressing of abrasive wheels
  • Appropriate work rest settings and abrasive wheel guarding
  • Inappropraite use of abrasive wheels
  • Personnel protection equipment in the use of abrasive wheels
