BETA is involved in the training and mangement of modern apprenticeships which, are employed by a number of orgaisations in the Scottish Borders.
As per the rules and regulations set out by Skills Development Scotland under the National Training programme we have to keep certain information on the apprentices and the companies that employ them.
This information is passed onto Skills Development Scotland (SDS) Government body, Excellence, Achivement & Learning (EAL) Vocational Qualifications lead body and Science, Engineering, Manufacturing & Technology Authority (SEMTA) Sector Skills Council.
BETA holds onto this information both on their computer system which is password controlled and on paper based files which a securley kept.
The following subsection explains what is held and how it is held.
At any time a company or and individual can request that all information held on them must be deleted. This request can be donethrough email or letter.
